🧩 Speed Puzzling Clubs Are Coming This Fall to Mind Quest Puzzles and Games!

Looking for something new, challenging, and fun for your child this school year? Speed Puzzling Clubs are back at Mind Quest Puzzles and Games beginning September 2026!

We’re offering two weekly Speed Puzzling Clubs this school year: a daytime club designed for homeschool families and an after-school club for kids who want to puzzle after the school day is over.

Both clubs are open to kids ages 6 and up and are designed to help young puzzlers develop new skills, challenge themselves, make friends, and discover just how exciting speed jigsaw puzzling can be!

🧩 What Is Speed Puzzling?

Speed puzzling takes the traditional jigsaw puzzle and adds an exciting challenge: the clock!

Participants learn techniques for completing puzzles more efficiently, including sorting pieces, identifying patterns and colors, organizing their workspace, recognizing shapes, and developing strategies for tackling different types of puzzles.

But it isn't all about being the fastest.

Our clubs encourage kids to focus on personal improvement. Participants can track their times, experiment with different techniques, set goals, and see how their skills develop throughout the school year.

Along the way, they're also practicing valuable skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, concentration, patience, perseverance, organization, and visual processing—all while having fun!

🏠 Tuesday Home School Speed Puzzling Club

Our Home School Speed Puzzling Club provides homeschool students with a fun and social activity during the school day.

🕐 1:00–3:00 PM
👧👦 Ages 6 & Up

Each Tuesday, participants will have the opportunity to work with a variety of jigsaw puzzles and practice different speed puzzling techniques.

Timers will be available so kids can track their progress and work toward their own personal bests. Participants will also have a progress tracking sheet kept at Mind Quest so they can see how their puzzling skills improve throughout the year.

It's a great opportunity for homeschool students to learn, socialize, challenge themselves, and connect with other kids who enjoy puzzles!

🎒 Wednesday After School Speed Puzzling Club

Need a fun activity after the school day ends?

Our Wednesday After School Speed Puzzling Club offers the same exciting speed puzzling experience at a convenient after-school time.

👧👦 Ages 6 & Up

Kids will learn speed puzzling strategies, practice with different puzzles, track their progress, and challenge themselves to improve their completion times.

Whether your child is already a serious puzzle fan or has only completed a few puzzles, they can participate at their own ability level and build their skills over time.

🏆 Monthly Friendly Competitions

Practice is even more exciting when there's something to work toward!

At the end of each month, club participants will have the opportunity to put their skills to the test during a friendly Speed Puzzling Competition.

We'll celebrate the progress kids have made throughout the month and award prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

Competitions will include two divisions:

Junior Division: Ages 6–11
Senior Division: Ages 12 & up

The goal is to give participants something fun to work toward while encouraging good sportsmanship, confidence, and personal improvement.

Families can choose the option that works best for their schedule:

$12 per visit
or
$48 monthly subscription

The monthly option is a great choice for kids who plan to make Speed Puzzling Club part of their regular weekly routine.

👨👩👧 Information for Parents

For our younger puzzlers, a parent or guardian is required to stay with children ages 6–11 during club.

Participants ages 12 and up may be dropped off, although parents are always welcome to stay and watch the puzzling action!

A participation waiver is required before your child attends their first club meeting.

💚 Why Join Speed Puzzling Club?

Jigsaw puzzles are fun, but they're also a wonderful way for kids to exercise their minds.

Through regular speed puzzling practice, participants have opportunities to strengthen focus, patience, organization, visual recognition, problem-solving, critical thinking, goal setting, and perseverance.

And perhaps most importantly, they get to spend time with other kids, celebrate each other's accomplishments, and have fun doing something they enjoy.

There is no requirement to already be a fast puzzler. Beginners are welcome! The goal is to learn, practice, improve, and have a great time along the way.
